ALESIA, THE ARTIST
Alesia Snipes Sanders is an anointed gospel artist, psalmist, accomplished musician and an ordained minister of the gospel. In 2007, she recorded her very first "LIVE" Praise & Worship CD with this being her sophomore project. The title of the project, “Thou Art My Praise” was inspired by the words of Jeremiah 17:14, “Heal me O’ Lord and I will be healed, save me O’ Lord and I shall be saved, for thou art my praise.” Her background vocals and band ; Expressions of Praise Ensemble and Davidic Praise Band -150, Unity Choir, Mother B. Snipes, S & S Singers, Wee Worshippers and brother, Anthony Snipes accompanies her on this project
Since its release, Thou Art My Praise CD has been in radio circulation as well as promotional tours throughout the Southeast and Southwest regions of the United States. The artist has been privileged to appear on local television and radio spotlights in Texas and Georgia. She is a member of the GMWA Texas Gospel Announcers Guild Dallas/Fort Worth chapter. Over the years, Alesia has shared the stage with many renowned gospel artists. Her most memorable one was in the early '70s when she and her sisters, The Snipes Trio, appeared in concert with the late Rev. James Cleveland in Georgia. Other artist she has shared the stage with includes Dottie People, Brian Courtney Wilson, Canton Jones, Greg O’Quin, George Huff, The Andrews Brothers, James Roberson, Dorinda Clark and others.
